Mini MRF display
The mini MRF enables groups of supervised children to get a better understanding of the sorting processes that take place in a real materials recovery facility. Cleaned rubbish is tipped into a hopper at one end and passes along a conveyor belt where the children sort it into labeled bins.
The display is hand-powered and has been designed with health and safety in mind. The hopper unit is 66cm long and the conveyor is 170cm long and the unit is 75cm wide. Each part has lockable castors.
The supplied parts are:
- the waste hopper
- the hand-turned conveyor belt which passes through the MRF ‘building’ which has informative graphics printed on two sides
- four labeled collection bins
- two hand held magnets for collecting the steel cans
- a hand-operated air pump for blasting plastic items off the line
- a box of cleaned waste items
- eight hi-viz tabards for the children to wear
Price between £5,000 and £6,000 + VAT depending on final specification. Delivery charge dependent on location.
